St. Patrick's Cathedral - Address & Directions

Multiple Dublin Bus lines stop directly outside or within a two-minute walk of the cathedral on Patrick Street:

Routes 49, 54A, and 150: Stop directly outside the cathedral grounds on Patrick Street.

Routes 27 and 77A: Stop on nearby Lord Edward Street or Werburgh Street, a short walking distance from the main entrance.

Linea Verde: The closest stop is St. Stephen’s Green, located approximately a 10 to 12-minute walk east of the cathedral.

Linea Rossa: The closest stop is Four Courts, located north of the River Liffey. From there, cross the river via O’Donovan Rossa Bridge and walk south along Winetavern Street and Nicholas Street (approximately a 12 to 15-minute walk).

DART / Commuter Rail: Stazione di Tara Street e Stazione di Pearse are the nearest rail stops, both located roughly a 20-minute walk away. Alternatively, take Dublin Bus Route 150 from near the station area directly toward Patrick Street.

Intercity Rail: Stazione di Heuston is roughly a 20 to 25-minute walk, or a short ride on the Luas Red Line to Four Courts.

There is no dedicated public parking on the grounds of St Patrick’s Cathedral. On-street pay-and-display parking in the surrounding streets is limited.
